2. Apr 22,  · Luckily, Kyrr has moments of enjoyment and accessibility that keep you returning to the album and expand your attention outwards. Like the smell of wet dog, this album permeates your mind, getting into your subconscious and before you know it you’re humming these weird little tunes. This is a great follow-up to Earth Blood Magic.

3. Kontinuum are (or were, at least) a progressive metal group with elements of post-rock in their sound, but here, with Kyrr, we get an album that sounds as much like The Cure and Type O Negative .

Kontinuum - Kyrr (CD, Candlelight, ) The more I listen to Metal (no matter the genre), the more I get tired of bands which keep presenting themselves as ‘the next big thing’ or/and ‘epic’, but what they actually do is rehashing the same successful recipes others have already tried and succeeded, thinking that this way they can pull off some new-born and ‘re-inventing’ epic music.

9. An album that should hold serve in the atmospheric fray throughout , Kyrr is a tremendous showing by Kontinuum, who have done what every good band should do on their sophomore album: Improve. Not much to balk at here. Kyrr is a mystic whirlwind of divergent forces coming together in atmospheric metal glory.
